Certainly nothing to compare with the urban sophistication and glamour of Swindon. :D

Should be a bumper crowd tomorrow particularly in the afternoon as all government workers have been given a paid half-day holiday with tickets to support the two Antiguans in the Windies team.
Still tickets available at the Recreation Ground box office although this morning it was cash only as the credit card machine wasn't working and only one person on a laptop dispensing tickets. Some things never change !

Sorry lads forgot to say welcome to the forum and if it's your first overseas game you will love it .
I don't know any of the people on the forum but if your touring in the future the lads on here will help you out no end.
I'm touring again next year and know full well they will all assist me and I really appreciate the help.

Thanks for the welcome, and yes we did! Despite coming down with an absolute streaming cold (only I could do that in hot weather ffs) myself and Mrs Rog had a fantastic day at the match and a brilliant time on holiday.
Can't knock the place, she's already looked into us returning next year, I'm trying to put her off until 2019 for obvious reasons :D

Okay, here we go for the last time.
There are 10 simple rules for attending West Indies v England cricket matches and they go like this.

1.NO GAME IS EVER SOLD OUT.
2.EVERY GAME IS PLAYED IN STADIUMS WITH HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF EMPTY SEATS
3.THERE IS NO NEED TO BUY A TICKET IN ADVANCE OF TRAVEL.
4.DO NOT PANIC.THIS IS THE CARIBBEAN.EVERYONE IS SO LAID BACK THEY'RE ALMOST HORIZONTAl.
5.SEE NUMBER THREE AGAIN.YOU CAN SIMPLY ROCK UP AND BUY A TICKET ON THE DAY EXCEPT FOR MAYBE ANTIGUA WHERE IT'S SO CHAOTIC YOU SHOULD PERHAPS BUY THEM THE DAY BEFORE.IN ANY EVENT ANYONE BUYING A TICKET FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN FACE VALUE IS A GULLIBLE TWAT.
IT'S 75 BUCKS TO GET INTO THE BARBADOS GAME AND 50 BUCKS IN ANTIGUA FOR A SEAT AND 35 FOR SITTING ON THE GRASS.THESE ARE THE PRICES YOUR HOTEL WILL PAY.IF YOU PAY MORE THAN THAT YOU'RE (A) A GULLIBLE TWAT (B) MAKING A WEST INDIAN VERY HAPPY.
6.SERIOUSLY.READ NUMBER THREE AGAIN AND EVERY SINGLE POST THAT HAS BEEN MADE ON THESE FORUMS ABOUT THESE MATCHES,
7.DO NOT PANIC.YOU WILL SEE THE GAME.
8.EVEN IF YOU THINK CUTHBERT RIZLA IS A DRUG-ADDLED GOBSHITE DO NOT PANIC.YOU WILL SEE THE GAME.
9.WALK AROUND THE GROUND ON THE DAY AND SAY CUTHBERT RIZLA WAS RIGHT THEREFORE I MUST THANK HIM BY BUYING HIM A DRINK.
10.WHERE IS PRESTON ANYWAY ?

Well he got No 8 correct.
The other nine are .... No1 and No 3 repeated, must have been 'good stuff' yesterday.
So you've been to Deepdale 'several times' and don't know where Preston is? God knows how you're gonna get to the airport never mind WI (allegedly)

Will you joining us on the beach in the Windies?.
Or is the Preston branch of Tight Arse Tours waiting for England's first match against a Lidl X1 ?[/

Did the last test tour there, not particularly enamoured with places that are solely beaches and drugs.
Besides, the possibility of sitting near you is distinctly unappealing.

Yeah,you're right.
Who would be enamoured with sunny Barbados in March when Preston is on your doorstep ?
Your moaning is reaching Boycott-esque levels.

I'm surprised you have any idea what the weather is like in Barbados, in March or any other time of the year!
Half the time you're stoned out of your head (your PROUD boast) and the other half its stuck up your own arse.

The weather in Barbados and Antigua was, like my disposition, sunny. There was a great atmosphere amongst the thousands of England supporters enjoying a well-earned Spring break.

There was the occasional shower. But,like you and your constant dour negativity, they were quickly ignored as everyone got on with having a good time.

You could do with a toot occasionally old cock.It might cheer you up a bit.
