England will be in high spirits going into the third Test in Port Elizabeth on Thursday after notching a brilliant win over South Africa in Cape Town.

After a testing start to the tour in Centurion, where the Three Lions had to battle both illness and a strong South African performance, Joe Root’s men provided a near-complete performance at Newlands.

The momentum will be with England ahead of the third Test at Port Elizabeth but Chris Silverwood has some decisions to make over his selection.

With over a week between the two matches though, there has been a lull period for the players after the drama of one match and before attention turned to the next.

A balance must be struck here, as players will want to remain sharp but equally not overwork themselves before what could be another taxing Test match.

A bit of rest will have been particularly important for the England team, following their struggles with illness in the early part of the tour and the hours they spent in the field in the last few days of the Newlands Test.

Fortunately for the players, they have been in one of the most scenic cities in the world, and they have taken advantage of that.

That’s not to say the work hasn’t continued, however, and with the series at 1-1, both teams will hope to take control in the penultimate Test this week.

This is what the players have been up to:
