England’s white-ball tour of South Africa is on the horizon, with Eoin Morgan’s men due to leave the UK later this month, but it’s one of our former stars that’s been drawing attention recently.
Kevin Pietersen has been back in the nets, training for what the explosive batsman is calling “The Comeback”.

We don’t yet know what his plans are or what will come from it but considering some of the innings he produced for England, it’s hard not to be at least a little excited.
With that in mind, we’ve rolled the clocks all the way back to the early days of KP’s career and a performance against the Aussies that made the whole of the cricketing world to pay attention to a rising star.
Pietersen was still very much a newcomer to the England side when he hit his majestic 91* at Bristol in 2005, helping his side claim a victory that would serve as a sign of what was to come later that summer.
