Barmy Army’s Player of the Series for India v England ODIs revealed
Jonny Bairstow has been named the Barmy Army Player of the Series for the India v England ODIs after earning 67% in our recent fan poll.
The final leg of the India tour did not disappoint with the two sides playing out three high-scoring 50-over contests in Pune.
The hosts came out on top after a thrilling finale on Sunday – the sort of game that would have been even better with a proper Barmy Army atmosphere.
Obviously, we couldn’t be there but we wanted to give supporters a chance to have their say and you have spoken!
Bairstow was in blistering form in the ODI series, finishing as the top run-scorer with 219 runs at an average of 73.
He twice made 100+ run stands with opening partner Jason Roy and his stunning century was key to the victory in the second ODI.
Jonny won our Player of the Series award after receiving 67% of the fan vote, with Mark Wood in second (17%) followed by Ben Stokes (9%) and Sam Curran (8%).
