Code of Conduct & Core Values
As a member of the Barmy Army, you are expected to follow these values:
- We hold a deep commitment to the ethical principles of cricket and always act in the best interests of the English Cricket Team.
- We respect and value all supporters, players and officials and abide by the ICC Anti-Racism Regulation.
- We shall not engage in any behaviour which offends, insults, humiliates, intimidates, threatens, disparages, or vilifies another person based on that person’s race, spoken language, religion, colour, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation. This includes but is not limited to players, umpires, referees, officials, staff, locals or fellow spectators.
- We understand that when we are at UK games, events, tours, wearing Barmy Army merch or representing the Barmy Army in any way, our individual behaviour can affect others’ views of the Barmy Army.
- We aim to provide entertainment through singing and song creation while maintaining a commitment to avoiding offensive language and promoting enjoyable, clean fun.
- We respect that people watch cricket in a variety of different ways.
- We accept that our official allocations of cricket tickets are a privilege, not a right and we do not profit from their resale.
- We agree, respect and have read the terms and conditions of Barmy Army membership.
The Barmy Army retains the right to remove membership without notice if members act outside of our core values.
