Tour Itinerary


Well, if you’re going to do the Ashes, then do it properly. Go out with absolute peace of mind!

  • Day 1 – Tuesday, 18th November: Depart UK

The day has arrived! Make your own way to the airport, check in, drop your bags off, and pass through customs to board your flight to Perth.

  • Day 2 – Wednesday, 19th November: Arrive in Perth

When you arrive in Perth, collect your bags and head to the Barmy Army Transfer, which will take you directly to your hotel, where you’ll check in with your fellow Travel Members. Relax and unwind before attending our Welcome Drinks Reception hosted by your experienced Tour Manager. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know the other Travel Members in your group.

  • Day 3 – Thursday, 20th November: Day at leisure in Perth

It’s time to get out and enjoy a day of glorious sunshine and explore Perth’s sights. Your Tour Manager can provide details of places of interest and any recommendations they have. Head out into the City to explore in your own time or go with the group to the top attractions.

In the evening, join fellow Travel Members and Barmy Army supporters for entertainment at our Pre-Test Party to celebrate the start of a monumental cricket series.

  • Day 4-8 – Friday, 21st November – Tuesday, 25th November: 1st Test Match in Perth

This is what you came for! Witness the first ball of the Ashes series and sing with thousands of Barmy Army travellers as “Jerusalem” echoes through the state-of-the-art Optus Stadium. You’ll head to the stadium each day with your tour group and reconvene at the close of play at the official Barmy Army HQ or back to your hotel, ready for the next.

You may want a break from cricket during this time, so there will be many options for food, drinks and activities beyond the boundary in Perth!

  • Day 9 – Wednesday, 26th November: Day at leisure in Perth

After an epic Test match win, you might want to take things steady today, wander around the city, and visit the last places you’d like to see before continuing your Ashes adventure.

  • Day 10-12 – Thursday, 27th November: Transfer by coach for 3 nights of R&R

Prepare to pack your bags for your Barmy Army Transfer. Enjoy three nights of rest and relaxation between the Test matches in Scarborough, a laid-back coastal suburb. You can also enjoy optional excursions to Rottnest Island and the famous wineries of Western Australia. 

  • Day 13-14 – Sunday 30 Nov: Fly to Brisbane and stay on Sunshine Coast

It’s time to head to Brisbane, but first enjoy some calm before the storm of the Gabba. Your airport transfer will pick you up from the hotel for your flight to Brisbane.

When you arrive in Brisbane, collect your bags and head to the Barmy Army Transfer. The transfer will take you to your stay on the Sunshine Coast – the perfect place to bask in the laid-back vibes for total relaxation.

  • Day 15 – Tuesday, 2nd December – Transfer by coach to Brisbane

As the 2nd Test approaches, your transfer will take you back to Brisbane to get settled ahead of another week of Test match action.

  • Day 16 – Wednesday, 3rd December: Day at leisure in Brisbane

After waking up in the sunniest capital city in Australia, it’s time to explore the sights Brisbane offers. Your Tour Manager can provide details of places of interest and any recommendations they have. Head out into the City to explore on your own or go with the group to the top attractions.

In the evening, join fellow Travel Members and Barmy Army supporters for entertainment at our Pre-Test Party to celebrate the start of the Day/Night Test.

  • Day 17-21 – Thursday, 4th December – Monday, 8th December: 2nd Test Match in Brisbane

Brace yourself for the unforgettable Day/Night Test at The Gabba. As the stadium lights up, so do the Barmy Army – get ready for five days of world-class cricketing action. At the end of each day’s play, you’ll head to the official Barmy Army HQ or back to your hotel, ready for the next.

  • Day 22 – Tuesday, 9th December: Day at leisure in Brisbane

On your final day in Brisbane, take it easy, explore the city, and visit the last places you want to see before continuing your Ashes adventure.

  • Day 23-25 Wednesday, 10th December – Friday, 12th December: Transfer by coach to Gold Coast 

Swap cricket for the coastal charm of the Gold Coast. Your Barmy Army transfer will take you to your 3-night stay at Surfers Paradise, in the heart of Queensland’s Gold Coast. Discover one of Australia’s most famous destinations and explore its lively beachside city.

  • Day 26-27 Saturday, 13th December – Sunday, 14th December: Transfer to Sanctuary Cove Intercontinental, Gold Coast

After spending a few days at the seaside resort, your Barmy Army Transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Sanctuary Cove Intercontinental for a two-night stay. Relax at the elegant five-star resort and enjoy some well-deserved downtime.

  • Day 28 – Monday, 15th December: Fly to Adelaide

It’s time to fly to Adelaide! Your airport transfer will pick you up from the hotel for your flight to Adelaide.

When you arrive in Adelaide, collect your bags and head to the Barmy Army Transfer. The transfer will take you to your hotel, where you’ll check in with your fellow Travel Members. 

  • Day 29 – Tuesday, 16th December: Day at leisure in Adelaide

Explore the sights of Adelaide and everything it has to offer. Your Tour Manager can provide details of places of interest and any recommendations they have. Head out into the City to explore in your own time or go with the group to the top attractions.

  • Day 30-34 – Wednesday, 17th December – Sunday, 21st December: 3rd Test Match in Adelaide

Adelaide welcomes you to a world-class cricketing stage. Enjoy five thrilling days of Ashes action at the picturesque Adelaide Oval. At the end of each day’s play, you’ll head to the official Barmy Army HQ or back to your hotel, ready for the next.

  • Day 35 – Monday, 22nd December: Day at leisure in Adelaide

After an epic Test match win, you might want to take things steady today, wander around the city, and visit the last places you’d like to see before continuing your Ashes adventure.

  • Day 36 – Tuesday, 23rd December: Fly to Melbourne

It’s time to fly to Melbourne for a Barmy Christmas! Your airport transfer will pick you up from the hotel for your flight to Melbourne.

When you arrive in Melbourne, collect your bags and head to the Barmy Army Transfer. The transfer will take you to your hotel, where you’ll check in with your fellow Travel Members.

  • Day 37 – Wednesday, 24th December: Day at leisure in Melbourne

It’s time to explore some of the sights of Melbourne and all it has to offer. Did you know Melbourne was voted the best city in the world?! Your Tour Manager can provide details of places of interest and any recommendations they have. Head out into the City to explore in your own time or go with the group to the top attractions.

  • Day 38 – Thursday, 25th December: Christmas Day Event in Melbourne

It’s a Christmas Day like no other! Even though you’re Down Under, we’ll ensure you feel the festive spirit. Included in your package is the famous Barmy Army Christmas Lunch. You’ll wine and dine with your fellow Travel Members, with all the traditional elements – songs, crackers, Santa, bingo, and much more. 

  • Day 39-43 – Friday, 26th – Tuesday 30th December:  4th Test Match in Melbourne

It’s the ultimate cricket bucket list experience – the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. Each day, you’ll head to the MCG with your Tour group and into the stands, ready to sing Jerusalem. At the end of each day’s play, you head to the official Barmy Army HQ or back to your hotel, ready for the next day.

  • Day 44 – Wednesday, 31st December: Fly to Sydney and attend NYE Event in Sydney

It’s time to head to Sydney for the Barmy Army’s New Year’s Eve Event! Your airport transfer will pick you up from the hotel for your flight to Sydney.

When you arrive in Sydney, collect your bags and head to the Barmy Army Transfer. The transfer will take you to your hotel, where you’ll check in with your fellow Travel Members. 

Then as the evening draws in, head to our Barmy Army New Year’s Eve Event! Celebrate and party all night to see in 2026 Down Under! 

  • Day 45 – Thursday, 1st January: Day at leisure in Sydney

It’s the 1st of January 2026, a brand new year. After the most epic night, you might want to take things steady today. 

  • Day 46-47 – Friday, 2nd – Saturday 3rd January: Days at leisure in Sydney

You have plenty of time to explore the areas you must visit in Sydney. Explore with your fellow Travel Members as a group – your Tour Manager will be sure to take you to some of the best places in the city, or you can explore the sights in your own time or head to places 

  • Day 48-52 – Sunday, 4th January: 5th Test Match in Sydney

The grand finale is here – the New Year’s Test at the SCG. Wrap up the tour in style with five days of unmissable Ashes cricket. Each day, you’ll head to the SCG with your tour group and into the stands, ready to sing Jerusalem. At the end of each day’s play, you head to the official Barmy Army HQ or back to your hotel, ready for the next day.

  • Day 53 – Friday, 9th January: Depart Sydney

Your Tour has unfortunately come to an end. It’s time to say your goodbyes and take your transfer to the airport, where you’ll check in and board your flight back to the UK.

  • Day 54 – Saturday, 10th January: Arrive UK

You’ve landed back in the UK, having lived out your bucket list experience with memories that will truly last a lifetime.

Make no mistake – This isn’t just a tour; it’s the ultimate celebration of cricket, culture, and the wonderful spirit of the Barmy Army. The Ashes awaits!
