We understand that the single supplement frustrates solo travellers, so we wanted to allow England fans to meet like-minded travellers, find out more about each other, and potentially agree to share hotel rooms, reducing the overall cost of their trips. 

We are introducing a new Travel Members Pairing Service. If you’re interested in being matched up with a fellow Barmy Army Travel Member who is also travelling solo, please email ashes@barmyarmy.com and state your name, age, and gender.

Ashes Solo Travellers Facebook Group

This is an invite-only group created for England supporters planning to travel to Australia on their own for the 2025/26 Ashes series.

We understand the single supplement charge frustrates solo travellers, so we wanted to allow England fans to meet like-minded travellers, find out more about each other, and potentially agree to share hotel rooms, reducing the overall cost of their trips.

Unfortunately, it is industry standard for hotels to charge for the full price of the hotel room rather than on a per-person basis. We know this can be a barrier for solo travellers, and we don’t want you to be unfairly punished! The Barmy Army is a community for everyone, and many of our touring members are solo travellers, so please trust that we are always thinking about ways we can best cater for you and ensure you can enjoy all the benefits of being part of our unique community.
