England v Australia 2024: T20 & ODI
Despite the predictable interruptions from the weather, the summer series between England and Australia was an exciting contest.
The T20 opener at The Ageas Bowl saw Australia clinch victory, but England bounced back in the second T20 at Cardiff. Unfortunately, rain had the final word in the third T20 at Old Trafford, which was abandoned without play.
In the ODI series between England and Australia, Australia secured early victories, winning two of the first three matches. England bounced back with a strong performance in the fourth ODI to level the series. The final and deciding match at Bristol, however, saw Australia claim the series 3-2 via the DLS method, after rain disrupted the game, giving Australia the edge in the final overs and the overall series win.
