After a ground-breaking first tournament in Galle in 2023, the Fans World Cup returns to the teardrop island for the second edition, which will take place in Dambulla, in the heart of the jungle on the northern plains of the island.

The players package is aimed at amateur cricketers but there is no specific requirement in terms of experience or the level you’ve played at.

Tour Itinerary
- Day 1 – Wednesday, 2nd April, 2025: Arrive in Sri Lanka
Make your own way to Dambulla, check in to the prestigious Aliya Resort & Spa and enjoy an afternoon of relaxation at the hotel. You and your team members will be asked to join us briefly for a media shoot ahead of the tournament, and you will be presented with your playing kit.
In the evening, we will gather for the tournament’s opening ceremony, followed by welcome drinks ahead of the first day of the tournament!
- Day 2 & 3 – Thursday, 3rd – Friday, 4th April, 2025: Cricket
Days 3 and 4 is tournament play! After breakfast, the team buses will collect you from the hotel and take you to the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, where you will compete against other teams across two days in a group stage format. Lunch will be served, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
After each day’s play, you will return to the hotel for your evening meal and the chance to reflect and rest to go again the following day.
- Day 4 – Saturday, 5th April, 2025: Winners & closing ceremonies
On the tournament’s final day, we will return to the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium to decide the winners! After the knockout stage is completed, the trophy will be presented on the pitch following the Fans World Cup Final. You can return to the hotel in the afternoon to freshen up before the tournament’s closing ceremony.
All competitors and supporters will be invited to our closing ceremony, which will take place in the evening at a stunning location. Expect a remarkable evening with food and drinks provided, traditional Sri Lankan dancers, and special cricketing guests presenting trophies and medals. It will be an unforgettable night and the perfect way to celebrate your wonderful experience in Sri Lanka!
- Day 5 – Sunday, 6th April, 2025: Kandy
Say your goodbyes to some competitors as you’re off for a night’s stay in Kandy! Your bus transfer will collect and take you to the Cinnamon Citadel Hotel.
You have arrived in Sri Lanka’s second-largest city, known as its historical and cultural capital. Once checked in, you can book a range of optional excursions to discover another side of the country!
- Day 6 – Monday, 7th April, 2025: Nuwara Eliya
Your journey across Sri Lanka continues as you travel to the stunning city of Nuwara Eliya. Your transfers will take you to the Galway Heights Hotel, where you will spend one night.
In Nuwara Eliya, you will find the natural beauty and wonders of Sri Lanka. This is your chance to visit the national parks, stunning lakes, and breathtaking waterfalls.
- Day 7 & 8 – Tuesday, 8th – Wednesday 9th April, 2025: Bentota
For the final leg of your trip, you will be transferred to your two-night stay at the Cinnamon Bey, Bentota.
