The Pakistan Government has confirmed it has launched a new visa policy designed to bring more tourism and foreign investment to the country.
The change to the visa policy means the Pakistan visa process is now much simpler, with 126 countries – including the United Kingdom – no longer needing to pay any fees when applying for a visa. Furthermore, when applying online, travellers can get a hold of their free visa within 48 hours of submitting an online application.
The news comes just two months before the start of England Men’s Tour of Pakistan, with the Test side travelling to Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi for a three-test series in October.
To benefit from the new measure, citizens of eligible countries must select the Visa Prior to Arrival option. From there, they need to input the following information in the drop-down screen:
Visa Category: Visa Prior to Arrival
Visa sub-Category: Tourist
Entry Type: Single Entry
Application Type: Entry
Applicant Country: Please select your country
Then, they will just need to upload a picture of themselves and a picture of their passport page.
England’s Test tour of Pakistan in 2022 marked a historic return for the English team, playing their first Test series in the country since 2005.
