The trip to the West Indies in 2023 will be an unforgettable one!

One of the main cricketing bucket list experiences, England travel to Barbados for one ODI and one T20 against the West Indies.Two visits to the Kensington Oval provide England supporters the perfect opportunity to tick this stunning destination off their list!

While enjoying the brilliant atmosphere and relaxing in the wonderful weather, you can discover plenty about the iconic island of Barbados, with a number of days at your leisure in between the cricket. This trip to the islands provides the perfect combination of a holiday set against a cricketing backdrop.

Here's how your break will look:

Before you travel:

After booking you'll receive a booking confirmation. Have a read of the important information.

Approximately 3 weeks before the trip starts we'll be in touch with your final documentation. This will include your final flight times, ticket info and any more helpful bits of advice you may need.

Time to get excited.

Thursday 07th December:

Depart on flight from London.

It works just like any holiday flight! Grab your passport and be at the airport for at least 3 hours before take-off.

On arrival in Barbados, once you’ve passed customs and immigration, you will be greeted by your Barmy Army Travel Tour Manager and transferred to your selected hotel for a 7-night stay.

Check in is usually around 3pm, but don’t worry if you’re there before, the hotel will store your bags, so you can head straight out.

Your Barmy Army reps will also be around if you have any questions.

Friday 08th December:

Full day at leisure. Optional excursion options will be provided closer to the time.

A day to get used to your surroundings and acclimatise.

Saturday 09th December:

03rd ODI - West Indies v England.

Following breakfast, transfer to the Kensington Oval for the 03rd & final ODI of the series.

After the game, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the night.

Sunday 10th December:

Full day at leisure. Optional excursion options will be provided closer to the time.

Monday 11th December:

Full day at leisure. Optional excursion options will be provided closer to the time.

Tuesday 12th December:

01st T20I - West Indies v England.

After breakfast & a morning at leisure, transfer to the Kensington Oval for the 1st T20I of the series. Your coach will transfer from the hotel to the ground and then return after the day of play.

Wednesday 13th December:

Full day at leisure. Optional excursion options will be provided closer to the time.

Thursday 14th December:

After a great break, sadly it’s time to head home.

Keep an eye on the WhatsApp group your hotel for pick up times. When it’s time to leave for your flight, the coach will pick you up from your hotel and your onboard Barmy Army rep will be there to answer any questions.

Need to Know

Entry to Barbados

All COVID-19 travel restrictions for UK travellers to Barbados have been lifted, and there are no testing requirements for entering Barbados whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated.

All travellers need to complete online Immigration and Customs forms found at https://travelform.gov.bb/ 72 hours prior to arrival.

Passport validity

Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay. No additional period of validity beyond this is required.

Visas

British passport holders don’t need a visa to visit Barbados.

On entry, you will normally be granted a specified period to stay. If you wish to stay longer, you must apply and pay for an extension of stay through the Barbados Immigration Department.

It’s an offence to overstay the entry period or to work without a work permit.
