The players package is aimed at amateur cricketers but there is no specific requirement in terms of experience or the level you've played at.

Your Itinerary

Friday 17th November - London Heathrow

Depart on your overnight flight with Sri Lankan Airlines from London Heathrow to Colombo.

Saturday 18th November - Colombo & Galle

On arrival in Colombo, once you have passed customs and immigration, you will be greeted by your Barmy Army Travel tour manager and transferred to the 4* Radisson Blu hotel in Galle for a 7-night stay on a half board basis.

You can save money on your trip and share rooms with a teammate by selecting the Twin Room (Shared) option under your Hotel.

Sunday 19th November - Galle

Full day at leisure to enjoy & explore Galle. Excursion options will be offered closer to the time.

Enjoy our World Cup Final watchalong party, as we watch England retain the trophy!

Monday 20th November - Galle

Following breakfast, transfer to one of the world's most iconic stadiums, Galle International Cricket Stadium for day 1 of the Fans World Cup.

FANS WORLD CUP - DAY 1

After the day of cricket has concluded, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Tuesday 21st November - Galle

After breakfast, head back to Galle International Cricket Stadium to find out who will be crowned the Fans World Champions.

FANS WORLD CUP - DAY 2

Following the conclusion of the presentation ceremony, return to the hotel.

This evening there will be a Barmy Army event/party. More details on this will follow in due course.

Wednesday 22nd November - Galle

Full day at leisure to enjoy Galle.

Thursday 23rd November - Galle

Full day at leisure to enjoy Galle.

Friday 24th November- Galle

Full day at leisure to enjoy Galle.

Saturday 25th November - Galle, Colombo & London

Unfortunately it’s time to head home. After breakfast, transfer back to Colombo airport for your return international flight to London.

About the Tournament:

We will make our best endeavours to ensure you have the opportunity to play for your selected nation, however this may require flexibility of players. We'll be in touch post-booking to find out who you'd like to represent.

Use of the The Fort, Galle for the competition is subject to approval by Cricket Sri Lanka, and Barmy Army will provide a suitable replacement if this is not available.

About The Hotel:

You can save money on your trip and share rooms with a teammate by selecting the Twin Room (Shared) option under your Hotel.

Please note that this cannot be guaranteed until numbers are confirmed. The team will be in touch to confirm details of roommates, or to highlight any issues, following booking.

Entry into Sri Lanka:

The Department of Immigration and Emigration have introduced an online embarkation form which will replace the paper embarkation card. Foreign nationals can complete the online form three days prior to arrival in Sri Lanka. The service is free of charge.

All COVID-19 requirements have been lifted for entering Sri Lanka.

Passport Validity:

If you are visiting Sri Lanka, your passport should be valid for 6 months from the date you arrive.

Visa Requirements:

All visitors are advised to apply online for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka. Further information on eligibility is available on the Department of Immigration and Emigration website.

Visitors can apply for an ETA on the ETA website.

On arrival visa facilities are available, however applying for an ETA before travel is advised for ease of travel and to prevent delays on arrival.

All visitors need to comply with the guidelines imposed for tourists by the Government of Sri Lanka.

Tourist visas are normally valid for 30 days. If you overstay your visa you could be fined or detained by the police.
