The Ashes Series concludes in Sydney at the SCG, and you can be there when Stokesy lifts the urn. Make your own way to your hotel in Sydney, where you and your fellow travel members will gather with your Tour Manager for welcome drinks to really get in the spirit of the final Test. It’s then time to opt into embracing the New Year with the Barmy Army at one of our famous New Years Eve Parties.

You’ll also experience the Pre-Test Party which includes our famous Barmy Bingo event – it is an epic party night – you’ll meet with like-minded fans, sing the songs, and have a chance to win some amazing prizes.

It might be the final Test, but rest assured the Barmy Army will be there in full voice, creating an atmosphere like no other. This package includes hand-picked hotels and match tickets in the famous Barmy Army section and you’ll be right in the heart of it.

Situated in the heart of the popular Darling Harbour entertainment district, Furama Darling Harbour is ideally located for sightseeing, nightlife and shopping. A former 1890s wool store, this property features a free Wi-Fi, a breakfast restaurant and a fitness centre.

Furama Darling Habour is within 5 minutes’ walk of Chinatown, Paddy’s Market, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and the various other attractions and dining options of Cockle Bay Wharf. There are both bus and light rail tram stops within 10 minutes’ walk.

All rooms have a minibar, tea/coffee-making facilities and quality bed linen. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and fluffy towels.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Monday, 29th December: Depart UK

The day has arrived! Make your own way to the airport, check in, drop your bags off, and pass through customs to board your flight to Sydney.

Day 2 – Tuesday, 30th December: Arrive in Sydney

When you arrive in Sydney, collect your bags and head to the Barmy Army Transfer, which will take you directly to your hotel. There, you’ll check in with your fellow Travel Members. Relax and unwind, then head to our Welcome Drinks Reception, where you can really meet the rest of your group.

Day 3 – Wednesday, 31st December: Day at leisure & NYE Event in Sydney

You’re waking up on the last day of 2025 in Sydney, Australia. You’ll have a day of leisure to explore Sydney in your own time or stay with the group. Your Tour Manager can provide details of places of interest and any recommendations they have. Then as the evening draws in, head to our Barmy Army New Year’s Eve Event! Celebrate and party all night to see in 2026 Down Under!

Day 4 – Thursday, 1st January: Day at leisure in Sydney

It’s the 1st of January 2026, a brand new year. After the most epic night, you might want to take things steady today.

Day 5-6 – Friday, 2nd – Saturday 3rd January: Days at leisure in Sydney

You have plenty of time to explore the areas you must visit in Sydney. Explore with your fellow Travel Members as a group – your Tour Manager will be sure to take you to some of the best places in the city, or you can explore the sights in your own time or head to places off the beaten track. In the evening, it’s time to party again ahead of the first day of the 5th Test – we’ll gather with your fellow Barmy Army Members for the Pre-Test Party.

Day 7-11 – Sunday, 4th January: 5th Test Match in Sydney

The grand finale is here – the New Year’s Test at the SCG. Wrap up the series in style with five days of unmissable Ashes cricket. Each day, you’ll head to the SCG with your tour group and into the stands, ready to sing Jerusalem. At the end of each day’s play, you head to the official Barmy Army HQ or back to your hotel, ready for the next day.

You might like a break from cricket during this period, so there will be plenty of options for things to do beyond the boundary in Sydney!
